Coffee people, mostly

Twenty years of coffee.

Two decades on specialty coffee — the bean, the roast, the room, the regulars. Then we built the system that lets that cup leave the café without losing what made it worth the trip.

Every auction lot is tasted and dialled in here, before it ever reaches a pillar.

The craft

It starts at the table

Every cup begins at the bean — where it grew, how it was dried, what the roast drew out, what the water did on the way through. Twenty years on those variables, in cafés where the craft had room to live.

Then we watched how easily a great cup slips. Same beans, same machine, a Tuesday instead of a Monday, and it's just coffee again. The difference was a person, paying attention at the right moment — and that kept the best coffee rare. Rare was never the point.

So we changed the question

Great coffee made you come to it. We decided it should come to you.

Coffee automation chased espresso — the drink no machine gets right without a barista. The cup the coffee world actually prizes, a slow pour-over of an auction lot, stayed behind the counter. That's the one we freed: in blind tastings it holds its own against the same cup poured by hand.

What's left is a pillar: wall-mounted, battery-powered, quiet. Auction-lot coffee in thirty seconds. The café didn't get smaller — it disappeared.

Vertically integrated

From silicon to the cup

One company, the whole stack — from the electronics in the pillar to the coffee in your hand.

  • The Pillar

Wall-mounted, battery-powered, silent — on custom electronics we designed ourselves.

  • The Software

Firmware that controls the pour, plus the apps, payments, operations software, and fleet management that keep every pillar online.

  • The Coffee

Auction lots we source and dial in ourselves — one recipe, one standard, every partner pillar.

Twenty years of coffee, distilled into a pillar.

Before it had a name

The first cups

The first cups we poured for ourselves — an ordinary table, no logo on the wall. Everything since — the firmware, the fleet, the app — exists to put a cup this good into a lot more hands.
